Objective:
To ensure that all Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brands and their products meet high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance before being listed on our platform. This strategy outlines the criteria and processes for sourcing, evaluating, and maintaining product quality, leveraging an expert advisory team and crowdsourcing recommendations from professional store owners.
Criteria for Brand and Product Evaluation:
1. Quality Standards
- Products must meet industry-standard quality certifications (e.g., ISO, GMP).
- Ingredients should be sourced ethically and sustainably.
- Clear labeling with comprehensive ingredient lists and usage instructions.
2. Safety and Regulatory Compliance
- Compliance with local and international regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, FSSAI).
- Evidence of safety testing and certifications (e.g., third-party lab tests).
- Adherence to packaging and labelling regulations.
3. Third-Party Testing
- Initial and periodic third-party lab testing for purity, potency, and safety.
- Certificates of Analysis (CoA) provided for each batch.
4. Reevaluation Frequency
- Quarterly batch testing for high-turnover products.
- Semi-annual reevaluation for other products, or more frequently if issues arise.
5. Expert Advisory Team
- A 3-5 member team comprising one expert from each target segment (fitness trainers, Ayurvedic physicians, gym owners, dieticians/nutritionists, wellness coaches).
- Responsibilities include recommending, reviewing, and approving products.
- Periodic meetings to assess ongoing product quality and address any issues.
6. Crowdsourced Recommendations
- Professional store owners can recommend products for sourcing.
- Recommendations are reviewed by the expert advisory team.
- Products are approved for sourcing only if they meet established criteria.
